During their initial run, Motion City Soundtrack established their own brand of quirky-hearted emo that perfectly blended the earnest charms of independent cinema with Moog-driven power rock–scathing their own psyches to offer up the most personal of personal lyrics. When the band called it quits in 2016, their profoundly devout fanbase were left devastated, but in this APTV exclusive, frontman Justin Pierre, reveals that MCS may have been gone, but they never really stopped.
Pierre and Motion City guitarist, Josh Cain, sit down with APTV's Gunz to discuss the current status of Motion City Soundtrack, whether or not you can expect to hear new music and look ahead to the future of the band after they wrap up their 2020 "Don't Call It A Comeback" Tour. Gunz also gets Pierre and Cain to dissect the lyrical meaning behind the MCS classic "L.G. Fuad," and Pierre gets profoundly candid about his mental health and its influence on the band's art and their relationship with their fans.
